The Portland, Oregon Interviews:

In December 2024, Kevin Kirkwood recorded a series of interviews in Portland, Oregon, for The Strand. Conversations took place in studios, at a dining room table, and inside a parked Toyota sedan, reflecting the informal, everyday spaces where artists work.

The focus was on process and persistence rather than finished work, documenting how artists maintain their practice, adapt to circumstances, and navigate daily routines.
